Just before you sleep today ,read this piece “ WHEN THE SPIRIT IS NO LONGER MOVING ..Yes .When we no longer see the demonstrations of the spirit as we usually do ,in our assemblies ,we can do a biblical diagnosis.Some folks asked such questions in the Old Testament Psalm 74:9 KJV[9] We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.Some had earlier observed 1 Samuel 3:1 KJV[1] And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision.Whilst we don’t dwell in their stead ,our light is the permanent indwelling of the SpiritJohn 14:16 KJV[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV[16] Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?We can learn from them .Yet the demonstrations of the spirit aren’t automatic Jesus gave instructions to be followed Luke 24:49 KJV[49] And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.John 20:22 KJV[22] And when he had said this, he breathed on them , and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:Acts 1:8 KJV[8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.You receive The epistles as well1 Corinthians 14:39 KJV[39] Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.Ephesians 5:18-19 KJV[18] And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;[19] Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;These are congregational instructions.We have a role to play That said What happens when the spirit “isn’t moving “?I recall a conversation I had with a member of a church ,who after speaking ill of his general overseer wondered why the power wasn’t moving like it did earlier through the same man .The answers are what am about to investigate with us together Jesus passed this route once Luke 5:17 KJV[17] And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.Gods power was present ,but congregation was full of critics .Such that the recipient had to be brought in through the roof !None present perceived the power .Yet it was there .In 1999 we( our ministry )held a meeting,the organizers were striving ,yet invitees had much testimonials. Interestingly they kept analyzing why “we didn’t see much power “, strife blinded their eyes .Critics don’t receive ,strivers don’t get blessed Mark 6:5 KJV[5] And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them .Same here ,yet just some moments before ,he just worked mighty miracles Mark 5:34,42 KJV[34] And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.[42] And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.Miracles which didn’t happen to all but the two who received Him .You can’t receive as a critic ,friend ,competitor or from someone whom you have started treating with subtle contempt.It flows from the top Hebrews 7:7 KJV[7] And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.The moment you see yourself different from this “ less “,you no longer can receive .I often say ,saying “ my pastor is human and can make mistakes “ , shouldn’t be your anthem .Know it in your heart ,if you should ,but look away from that ,keep affirming Gods grace on his life ,that’s what’s yours to receive.It’s wisdom .We can glean from Corinth .1 Corinthians 1:7 KJV[7] So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:All gifts present .Yet ,1 Corinthians 11:30 KJV[30] For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.Despite having gifts of healing 1 Corinthians 12:28 KJV[28] And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.Much division in the local church 1 Corinthians 1:10-11 KJV[10] Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. [11] For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.It caused a disequilibrium.Folks would leave church worse 1 Corinthians 11:17 KJV[17] Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.Many unedified 1 Corinthians 14:16,23 KJV[16] Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? 23] If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?Both believer and non believer ,not reached or impacted .“Self “will always hinder the things of the spirit If you are very strong on the demonstrations of the spirit ,ensure you learn from paul and be very strong on honor and love for believers and particularly leadership .Who also wrote1 Thessalonians 5:19-20 KJV[19] Quench not the Spirit. [20] Despise not prophesyings.But had earlier warned 1 Thessalonians 5:12-14 KJV[12] And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; [13] And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.[14] Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unrulyTeach honor strong and love stronger .Men often get familiar and become contemptuous ,after knowing a minister or staying long in a church .Much relating with each other and the flesh rears it’s very ugly head We forget how laying on of hands caused much for us ,prophecies etc Paul had to remind Timothy 1 Timothy 4:14 KJV[14] Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.Very vital I learnt much of the things of the Spirit from Kenneth Hagin ,with about 25 years or more of still being his student ,I see why he taught much on love and honor There are folks who have lost the edge of these things to dishonor, competition, strife .If Corinth can experience much loss despite all the gifts ,we can’t be exempt .Strife and dishonor are some of the worst robbers in local churches .I teach love and honor .Yearly and regularly Whenever I notice a decline ,I do a self and congregational honor and love check .Do same today .So when the “ Spirit isn’t moving “,don’t point fingers 1 Corinthians 11:31 KJV[31] For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.Judge yourself Like I told my friend ( who I mentioned earlier), when your pastor isn’t “ flowing “ like before check yourselves,what have you been saying and doing .It’s grace ,so it’s not qualified for ,but Must be welcome by faith and honor It’s often not him but you .Same as the local church generally.Not the Spirit but you and IHope it’s clear ..Let me know”You have a pleasant evening my friends ... I am still young, but as I grow older. I now place high value on loyalty- loyalty when things are good and loyalty when things are bad.Loyalty cannot be over emphasised in ministry, some days I look around and the very best to whom we poured our lives are no where to be found.We arrived at our destination and those we planned the future with are no longer in the ship.Never underestimate loyaltyMay we not end our journey like Paul "The first time I was brought before the judge, no one came with me. Everyone abandoned me. Why things of the Spirit and such like are sometimes lost ..In musings the past few weeks why many who embraced revelation knowledge , the moving of the Spirit, stirrings of the Holy Ghost ,why and how they lost the edge ,and the vitality and virility too .A few things come to mind ..NEGLECT1 Timothy 4:14 KJV[14] Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.Paul’s emphasis here is both the gift and the ministry of it .Prophecy and men who ministered.To neglect means not to pay attention anymore .Maybe your church services now require you attend to other issues .Some claim the move of the Spirit was for campus days.Now marriages need attention, finances etc .When this is prioritized ,things are lost .Acts 6:4 KJV[4] But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.Don’t give your self to any thing which now competes with Doctrine and flow of the Spirit.FEAR..What men will say .Critics Some will criticize Holy Ghost meetings ,claiming it’s superficial.Some claim it’s a “ Hagin “ creation .Others have called rejoicing in the Spirit “ Tulsa” dance .some called it evil spirit etc I have read a critique against the “ too many books “ in publication,claiming it’s distracting men from personal study etc ..I am used to such ,for over 20 years and more at least To honor God ,you must be ready for all sort of words .Paul thus admonished Timothy ..2 Timothy 1:6-8 KJV[6] Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. [7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8] Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;Don’t for fear of opposition lose your position and conviction ( Bishop David Oyedepo).I agree .I simply increase the tempo .No fear here ..Many chicken out because of censure .They stop publicly affirming their supernatural relationships also because of public perception.And with that eventually it affects what they affirm ,and much later all they stand for and do Do not fear ..IRREVERENCE..What you mock ,you lose .What you don’t value ,you don’t minister with ..Esau has a spirit in the New Testament Hebrews 12:16 KJV[16] Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.Profanity is godlessness.lack of reverence .Using mockery ,” Tulsa dance “ etc ,will simply mean such wont be found amongst you .What words did Esau use ?Genesis 25:31-32,34 KJV[31] And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.[32] And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?[34] Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.Loose words .Dishonor .Laughing and mocking burdens in prayer Teasing those who do street evangelism..Cracking jokes over bible exegesis and nicknaming it with comical terms ..Ridiculing New Testament worship etc Matthew 12:24,31 KJV[24] But when the Pharisees heard it , they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.[31] Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.There you have it .I have been holding Holy Ghost meetings for about 25 years or so .I know you need some discipline and courage to weather harsh criticism and not give in Same with handling bible doctrine .You must never fear ,neglect or allow irreverence .Hence as I thought I perceived the need to share this with you ..Hope it blessed you . ... THE MOVING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – PART 2Christopher AlamYoung preachers, to be a TRUE Pentecostal Church where the move of the Holy Spirit is an established part of worship and church life, we have to put a strong emphasis on the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, on speaking and praying in Other Tongues, and the exercise of Spiritual Gifts. A mature congregation will have a sound understanding of these things because they have been taught well by their Pastors.There is a lot to be said about these things, but without going into deep and detailed Theology, here are some Fundamental Facts that we see in the Scriptures. These give us an understanding of the basics of the “Practice of Pentecost.”THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT:Luke 3:16 – JESUS Himself is the Baptizer with the Holy Ghost and with Fire.Acts 2:4, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6 – Everybody who was present when the Holy Spirit fell was Baptized with the Holy Spirit, in the accounts from the Book of Acts. According to the Biblical pattern, the Baptism with the Holy Spirit is accompanied with the outward evidence of speaking in Other Tongues.THE VALUE OF SPEAKING WITH OTHER TONGUES:Of the 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit, speaking with Tongues is the first one that comes into operation. It is the “primary Gift” that is the doorway to the other Gifts of the Holy Spirit.1. 1 Cor 14:2 When we speak in Tongues, we speak to God.2. 1 Cor 14: 4 When we speak in Tongues we edify or build up ourselves (On the other hand, when we prophesy we edify the church).3. 1 Cor 14:5 Paul desires that everybody in the Church, ALL of us should speak in Tongues.4. 1 Cor 14:14 When I pray in Tongues, my spirit prays but my mind does not understand what I am praying.5. 1 Cor 14:15 We will pray in Tongues, we will pray in plain language. We will also sing in Tongues, we will also pray in plain language (Singing in Tongues is one of the most beautiful things that I have ever heard!)6. 1 Cor 14:18 Paul prayed in Tongues more than anybody else in the Church!7. 1 Cor 14:22 Speaking in Tongues is a Sign for unbelievers.8. 1 Cor 14:39,40 Pastors and Leaders should not forbid people from speaking with Tongues in the Church, but that being said, it should be done Decently and in Order!9. Jude 1:20 When we pray in Tongues, we build ourselves up in our most Holy Faith.Several things are evident from reading the entire Chapter 14 of 1st Corinthians,-That everybody should speak and pray in Tongues.-That Speaking in Tongues is for speaking unto God or/and for edifying oneself, while Prophecy is for building up the Church. While both Gifts are important, Prophecy is a “higher” Gift because it edifies the Church.-That if a message from the Lord or a Teaching is spoken unto the Church, it should not be in Tongues but in Plain Language. If the message is in Tongues, it should be interpreted into Plain Language. Everybody who speaks prophecies and messages to the Church in Tongues should ask God to give him the Gift of Interpretation of Tongues.-The Gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the speaking in Tongues, the Interpretation of Tongues, and Prophecy, should be exercised Decently and in order.Pastors, please do remember that the Church is the rightful place where people should be taught these things and taught to exercise the Spiritual Gifts, and NOT Charismatic conferences. Why you should attend Believers Convention(times of refreshing)

This is a special meeting started 2004 but had been preceded since 1995 by a special meeting tagged " Rivers of Joy, seasons of refreshing "

It puts together teaching sessions to stir the believer into ministering the things of the spirit and be so ministered to as well.
It does this with strong emphasis on our identification with and in Christ, in ministering the spirit.

Taking a cue from Kenneth E Hagin, we have meetings, what he taught as Holy Ghost / Believers Meetings,
The Word taught and preached, given first place
The spirit given room for expression and demonstration. In this the believer is walking in the manifestation of the spirit, which he has already
Needs are ministered too by the cooperation of all believers present, and where the unbeliever comes in, he receives salvation.
We leave via the door of rejoicing.
This is the summary of what we expect and will see during these meetings.

Aren't we balanced.. 😊😊 Some will accuse us

Aren't we balanced.. 😊😊

Some will accuse us of "preaching extreme grace, once saved for ever saved etc"

Some, say "they are legalistic, too rigid, submission, works etc "

Others say "they inspire young folks to dishonor the fathers"

Yet some claim " they are teaching hero worship and extreme honor"

Some claim, "they are reformed and puritan, not Christo centric"

Others, who are reformed accuse us of "cavorting with heretic charismatic Pentecostal 😊"

I have also heard, "they teach people to ignore the role of the spirit in bible study, just the letter"

Yet another group shouts, "they don't want you to read the bible" 😆

I once heard ".. They are releasing too many books, it's not allowing believers read their bibles 🙄🙄

And many more..

We must be more balanced than we even know with each man having his own beef..

To whom shall we go 😅

Pastors don’t have favorites, they have a group of people they can count on.

They have a group that believed in them before the crowd showed up.

They have a faithful few that come to bible study and prayer meetings.

They have a group that give faithfully. They have a group that checks on them and prays for them while most just want their needs met.

They have a group that’s stable, consistent and doesn’t talk behind their back every time they disagree with a decision.

Pastor’s typically don’t have favorites, they have a trusted few that have proven their love and allegiance.

A young minister should be wary of who he listens to in doctrine and ministry

Matthew 7:16-By their fruit you will recognize them [that is, by their contrived doctrine and self-focus]. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles?

I once said “the concept of branches is man made ,it’s one sheep one shepherd “

I said this childishly over 20 years ago(in the 90s)

It’s unbiblical.

It’s sentimental.

A few days ago in a chat with a younger minister , in discussing how the pastor could plant a church in a different location,this pastor without mincing words said

“ I don’t want to have any influence over any other congregation,I feel the starting of branches is an empire “

My jaw almost dropped, here you are before a fellow who by God’s grace is serving as a pastor over an ever growing and fruitful church branches

So I said what about me

Then I heard “ you are different “

I had to correct this pastor quickly

God’s method of global evangelism is church planting

If you speak against numbers,you work at variance with God’s will

Now is it possible for you be led to pastor only a church plant alone

Yes

But that’s personal and NOTHING doctrinal

I have strong reasons to believe this pastor was misled

And of course it will grow into a sudden aversion to commitment,loyalty,honor etc

This is wrong .

Watch what you are down on and up against

I got my earlier gaffe from a view I allowed surreptitiously and unconsciously in my heart and doctrine by paying attention to a certain criticism against other ministers

It will definitely reap bad fruits

The mind-boggling details of The Gospel clearly demonstrate God's love for the sinner. The very facts of the act show that love is more than an emotive affection. It is the domain of sacrifice. He never loved us because of His great speeches or promises.
He loved us by what He did.
Love thus, is to identify with and sacrifice for.

This is what Jesus did. This is how He loved.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:8 But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.(AMP)
Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a [a]slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.

If he truly loved sinners, He would identify with them FULLY and COMPLETELY.
This Love of God and from God is the Gospel we preach.

1 Corinthians 15:1- Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

The work of redeeming man began on the cross for that was where Jesus was made Sin. He never sinned. Sin was laid on Him.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
As prophesied by Isaiah, God put Him to grief and laid our iniquity on Him.

What was the consequence of their attitude?
The blessings returned, the power was stifled, they remained the same. When God sends men to cities, they must be welcomed, honoured and received. Thus, it is pertinent to see and receive God’s vessels in office (servants, righteous men, prophets). In Matthew 8:5, Jesus by implication equates receiving from his vessels as receiving from him. Likewise, in Luke 4:16-30, notice that the issue is in Verse 24
“…Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country”
The word “accepted” was applied for what is approved, accepted or acceptable. The issue in Luke 4:16-29, had to do with acceptance. In essence, what you do not honour is what you don’t expect to receive from. You cannot claim to honour God and dishonor men, or not love men. Thus, when we walk in honour, we do it as unto the Lord.

Confession: I have a new nature in Christ. I refuse to walk in dishonour towards others, in my thoughts, words and actions. Today, I walk in Spirit; I consciously walk in honour towards others (in my local church, at school, at work, in the market, at the bus station, in the home, and many as such)

This is a Christian virtue.
Jesus taught Honour as an attitude and Spiritual principle. Let’s examine a few scriptures on the importance of honour.
Mark 6:2-6 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Vs 3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. Vs 4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. Vs 5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. Vs 6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
This scripture above gives the greatest instruction on honour. Jesus could not DO ANY mighty work. It was not an issue of his will neither was it a case of lack of ability. The power of God was available but they didn’t receive it because they were offended. This he termed, unbelief.
Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Vs 40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. Vs 41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

So, the issue was about receiving God’s message and his messengers. The word “receive”, in Verse 14, which means to accept, to welcome. In other words, they didn’t receive, accept or welcome God’s vessels. You cannot receive from people you don’t accept, respect, revere and Honour. The opposite of Honour will be to despise, treat with contempt, to disregard, to treat what is sacred like a common thing.

As Believers we ought to keep scriptural admonitions fresh despite and in spite of prevailing circumstances in this world. In the advent of rise in technology and ease of access to information via the media, there has been with it also a rise in moral decadence, lightness and looseness, lack of values, lack honour and respect for fellow men, parents, elders, dignitaries (both Spiritual and natural), and lack of honour for Spiritual things.
The scriptures referred to such generation.
Proverbs 30:11-14 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. Vs 12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. Vs 13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
We are not of this world; hence, we don’t belong to this generation, and we must ensure that we do not associate with such. Believers therefore must tread cautiously and remain unspotted, as we guard our heart with all diligence.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
It is pertinent that we are not careless about the kind of information we allow into our minds/hearts, because it will translate into our conduct and lifestyle. Consistently feeding on God’s word and making practice of it will be how we tread cautiously in this world. The Scriptures instruct us to renew our minds from all worldly information.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Honour means to respect; treat as uncommon. It implies to treat as sacred. A believer should not be secular in his/her thinking; treating the sacred as secular (ordinary, common), and losing the Christian virtue; Honour. Believers are to honour what God calls honourable and sacred. The Scriptures teach to honour men, most importantly those in authority.

How do I put away ungodly influences?

• Meditation in God’s word
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Vs 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Vs 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Vs 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
The Psalmist here, taught that the way not to walk in the
counsel of the ungodly, or stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of the Scornful, is to give ones-self over to the Law of the Lord (the word of God), and meditate therein day and night.

The phrase “day and Night” implies regularly, consistently, all the time, continuity. It implies to continue in it and be consistent with it. In essence, I must embrace all forms of avenue I have to study, hear, discuss or fellowship around God’s word, one of which is keeping godly company around me. Thus, this brings caution to the kind of relationships I keep whether at home, work, school, and even in the local assembly (1st Corinthians 15:14, 33).

• Stay within the company that God has placed you,

If God has put you in a good Local church (a supernatural relationship), stay and continue there, because it is God’s plan for your life. Such will inspire you to Study, Pray, Preach the gospel, Give, Follow the leading of the Spirit, walk in the Spirit, as you fulfil God’s plan for your life.

Confession: I walk in the Spirit. I refuse to be foolish or careless with the company I keep or the kind of information I expose myself to, I take heed to myself and I keep the right associations, I stay with the godly relationships God has given me, I stay in and with my local church, it is Gods wisdom to keep in his will and Plan for my life.

Man is a product of influence and thus it suffices that a man will reflect the kind of relationships he keeps. You don’t underestimate the power of relationships.
Hence, Solomon taught in the book of Proverbs
Proverbs 13:20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
The word “companion”, implies an association, or to associate with (as a friend), to keep company with, to make friendship with.
Thus, it is important to pay attention to what the Scriptures teach about friendships and relationships, and heed to all the warnings and instructions concerning the kind of company we keep.

Whatever you see, listen to and hear so often is what becomes part of you. So, we must be cautious as touching who we allow access into our lives. The scriptures warn strongly concerning the kind of company you keep
Paul did in his first letter to the Corinthians
1ST Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
Reading contextually, the evil company was in reference to some who were teaching another doctrine, different from what and how they had been taught by Paul.
1st Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

There is a church beside my house, it's a small ch

There is a church beside my house, it's a small church of not more than 20 people. At least from their voices I could assume this number.

Since I moved into this estate I have enjoyed every of their services. Their pastor is so vast and very deep in the word. I have made it a point of call to attend their Sunday school from my house and I have never missed transferring my offering before leaving for my church. Infact I have switched to permanent second service just to enjoy the Sunday school of this other church with whom I share fence. I can't recognise any of their faces except for their pastor's, thanks to the banner in front of the church.

Yesterday midnight, I was awake tidying up a client's job when I heard the pastor praying. He lives in the same premises with his church. This minute he is praying loudly, the next minute he is quiet.

In his groaning, I heard him say "God, you promised to make this ministry big, you told me it's you that sent me. It's been years and I'm tired......He sobed"

Gosh, my heart nearly jumped out of me. I felt his pain. He must have thought about how the ministry isn't attracting the right people, how his vastness and teaching prowess isn't bringing the expected result. He was tired!

I muttered few words of prayers and I was led to drop an unusual offering.

So, I picked my phone and sent him a certain offering that I have never done before. The narration was "From a hidden disciple thankyou" .

This morning, I decided to attend his service throughout, still from my house. During Sunday school, he kept saying he's got a huge testimony to share during main service. I could sense so much excitement in his voice.

During the main service, he said "I don't know how God did it but he has done.it. We now have enough money to commence the radio program that we've always wanted to do. I didn't know some pepple are being blessed by the word of God from my mouth. I didn't know I have hidden disciples. I got a miraculous offering of #xyz this midnight from a hidden disciple and we shall spend everything on our radio outreach"
