The Word of the Lord came unto me further saying:
"Prophesy thou unto this people and say thou unto them, like a mighty army, like a mighty army, like the tramping of a mighty army the forces of evil are tramping down the road to Armageddon.
Yea, like a mighty army gathering force as it goes, joined on one hand by these people and on that hand, the other hand, by other people. The army of the enemy is marching on. Marching on though they know not where. Marching on for they march in spiritual darkness, and there is no light in the tenement of their dwelling. Even in their spirits, for their spirits lieth in darkness, and they are under the control of the wicked one.
But be not fearful of the tramping, tramping, tramping of the armies of the wicked. Be not fearful of the sound of war. Be not fearful of anything that the eye can see or the hand can feel or that which is brought to you through the ear gate of this evil world. But look ye into the Word. Yea, into the perfect law of liberty.
And know ye this, that the Lord has an army. Yea, He is preparing His own. No! The church will not grow weaker and weaker and weaker and lie down and expire. But she shall grow stronger and stronger and stronger for a fresh visitation of heaven is at hand. Yea, a new revelation of truth shall burst forth in all of its glory unto those who are called by His Name. And they shall realize that in their grasp, in their hand all the while, was that mighty Name that is above every name. And they, with that Name upon their lips and with faith in their hearts, will speak forth unto the enemy and say, 'Thus far shall ye go and no further.' And he shall desist in his maneuvers, and stop in his operations. And the hand of the enemy shall be stayed. And the harvest that is to be reaped shall be reaped. For the harvest is plenteous, and the laborers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into His harvest.
And so men, yea, if you please, some would call them a NEW BREED shall rise up and go forth. They shall not be afraid of the Devil.

Honor .. There things that you got to know by pri

Honor ..

There things that you got to know by privilege of position and relationship,such that even when things turn sour ,be honorable
Don't still abuse such privilege even if not extended to you anymore

It could be your former employers ,pre marital relationships ,marriage,former church or church members or staff

Be a person of honor

Learn not to use such as blackmail or means to gain weight with others or collateral for selfish ends

It's called Honor

It's misleading to assume a fellow isn't a prophet

It's misleading to assume a fellow isn't a prophet because he doesn't "see" into people's businesses and people's lives etc.

Yet ignore that same fellow sees into the body of Christ and God's plan in the now.

Many need to rethink the meaning of prophets as a function in and through the local church.

Who are you by the way (3)

The most vital knowledge in scriptures is knowing who Jesus is and who we are and what we can do in Him

Philemon 1:6 KJV
[6] That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Two things are notable here,good things in christ ,which are in us or vice versa .

In the four gospels the question was who am I?

Matthew 16:15 KJV
[15] He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

Peters revelation was about Him.

Matthew 16:16 KJV
[16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

This is the incarnation ,

The present christ as at that day .

Pauls prayer focused on something much more .A higher revelation .

Ephesians 1:17-18 KJV
[17] That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
[18] The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Riches i.e wealth of the glory of His inheritance ,i.e what He gave us .

Inheritance in the saints .

Jesus had earlier hinted this .

Matthew 16:19 KJV
[19] And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

I will "dash "you the authority of the kingdom and you will use it in the earth .

Why didn't he do that then and immediately ?

Let's track back a bit

Matthew 16:18 KJV
[18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

I will build my church .

This refers to His body after the resurrection .

John 2:19 KJV
[19] Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

His language was vague to his audience ,they were sense ruled

I AM AFRAID OF THE MEDIA and MAYBE YOU .. BUT WE BELIEVE GOD ..

Yes,the media is that place we get information.
Information need not be true before it’s believed .
Haven noticed the attention span of many is very fickle and short ,a manipulative and deviously intelligent fellow just needs to know his onions well and it’s his hey day .

It goes this simple, you have a doctrinal Position ,you know Mr A might easily fault it ( it Means you know you are wrong ,haven known Mr A’s explanation of same issue differs ),so you don’t go to Mr A and even if you do ,you won’t utter what you really want to do .
Knowing your audience ,and that truth ,soberness which are hallmarks of Christianity and its facts require patience ,you craft a well intelligently false interpretation of Mr A’s position, put it in the media ,add some sweetening .

You Lie about and against another to sustain a position ( which is devilish) .

There you have it ,anecdotal words ,innuendos,sarcasm,exaggeration .
But ensure the lie sounds true .
You know your audience ,so play the card of sentiments and whip up deep seated emotions .

A lie becomes true .

As long as the writer ,speaker knows his safety cards .

This is the Age .

I have seen men write ,say total falsehood.
About Meetings that never took place ,events that never happened,dated writings which are diabolical and false .just to appear authentic .
Some will plagiarize and backdate it and never credit others .

It’s Sad ,many young ministers are learning lies,deceit,exaggeration as wisdom in ministry .

I believe God will judge those who are initiating others into all these .

He will .

We all can be wrong ,misunderstand and err .i have been and still err .
But deceit is deliberately done .

Many I know avoid face to face discussions over issues they have gained fame on ,they enjoy the fame of lies but run from the truth ,

Emotions rule the world .

At times some will claim to come out of the closet with a dingy apology which is usually another strategy in all these .
You don’t need the media to show penitentiary remorse .

"Strong churches are a product of strong structure

"Strong churches are a product of strong structures, not personalities."

Such phrases are definitely derived from the ethos of socio- political philosophies in nation building.

The social gospel which seeks assiduously to incorporate worldly principles into the church of Christ has developed this penchant. It ignores scriptures and the message it seeks to uphold by twisting scriptural narratives to suit its whims:

"The parable of talents is a business seminar."
"
The Parable of the sower is agronomy."

"The teaching of Lazarus and the rich man is a study in geographic allusions etc."

These interpretations are not of God.

Hence by making and driving the narrative of strong structure and not men, it totally does despite to why Jesus came.

The structure of Christ's church is in his men.

Not in systems.

He committed the gospel to men.

Moses and the Prophets.

Jesus.

Peter, Paul and all foundational apostles.

Their doctrine is ours.

Because it's His.

Their pattern too.

The gospel builds men, not institutions.

Man is God's institution.

What is man that thou art mindful of him?, says the psalmist.

We mustn't get subsumed in human interpretation of systems and let alone what Jesus said to Pilate, "My kingdom is not of this world."

And also His own apostles, who asked about such systems, "it is not for you"

Go and make disciples of me, not structures.

Today, the social gospel celebrates the new normal of online meetings.

In Paul's day, it won't be an issue if mass gatherings were disallowed.

It was already built on units, not on data or ephemerals.

Pastors of today must re-read Paul's instructions at Ephesus in Acts 20:20-32
and the pastoral epistles.

He must not ignore Jesus' final words to Peter in John 21.

He can't be treating the church like a bluechip organization.

He must build Spiritual men, not human-rights activists.

John was once misled and even doubted Jesus in the process. He took his eyes off the ball to fight injustice in society.

The Pastors of this day must focus on the flock's duties.

The flock must become like Jesus in kind and ministry.

My Pastor said … (When you start getting petty)

Dateline: September 1995.

One of my friends brought up this issue of how certain brethren would always use the phrase “my pastor said" in conversations or be found quoting the said Pastor ...

We all lampooned such practice.

Not long after, we pounced on Brother Toks for always mentioning Kenneth E. Hagin in all his discussions on scriptures.

I recall one of such heated debates. I replied “Hagin, my foot." Yes I said so, as an idiot I was back then ...

A few years later, I was wondering what exactly was unscriptural about it.

Maybe because we found the statements unscriptural after all?

Or it’s inappropriate to quote individuals outside Bible personalities or authors?

Or maybe we were just petty ...?

Truth is there’s absolutely nothing wrong in quoting your Pastor if his explanation is scriptural.

A disciple quotes his teacher.

Verbatim.

It’s the highlight and high point of learning if you can trust such a teacher, Pastor, to quote him verbatim all the time.

I always say,

“Many of us need to see the paradigm and template of the Paul - Timothy relationship to see how learning and discipleship works."

Just in his first letter to Timothy, Paul used 59 first-person pronouns in his instructions: ( 35 direct, 9 indirectly and 15 implied)!

That’s very personal.

The phrase, "my son" features prominently.

1 Timothy 1:2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV)

2 Timothy 1:2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV)

2 Timothy 2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. (KJV)

This was to Titus too..

Titus 1:4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. (KJV)

It carries similar weight with the letter to Timothy.

Paul even recognizes that Timothy learnt the faith and received it earlier ...

Who are you by the way (2)

The believer in Christ must continually be reminded of who he is.
The knowledge of who you are affects everything.

Hence Paul's continuous emphasis to the church at Corinth with the same retort

1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV
[16] Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Know Ye not,

Seven times within 4 chapters he makes this acclaim

Many a believer need this shout out, lest they continue misleading themselves

Some sing "Lord make me your home "."prepare me a sanctuary ".

They say so out of an identity crisis.

God never leaves the believer.

Hebrews 13:5 KJV
[5] for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

He lives in Us and never leaves us.

Jesus placed emphasis on accurate knowledge as we saw earlier

Matthew 16:15 KJV
[15] He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

Their identity was tied to His, hence any ignorance of the latter will affect visibly and substantially the former

Peter answered by revelation.

You can't know Christ by Science, movies, been neighbors, etc.

His kindred missed out earlier

Luke 4:22 KJV
[22] And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

Family and neighbors equally need insights by the Spirit.

He is known by revelation.

Same with the believer

1 John 3:1 KJV
[1] Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Because it knew him not.

They walk by sight, we don't.

Matthew 16:16 KJV
[16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

The Son of God is the messiah.

He knew without examining his shoes, manner of walking or hairstyle.

Matthew 16:17 KJV
[17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

A unique fact here will come out shortly.

In the revelation of christ is found that of the believer.

There was a Man sent from God, whose name was Kenneth E. Hagin!
Kenneth E. Hagin, fondly called Brother Hagin and later Dad by many was the Pioneer of the Teaching of Faith majorly during the Last century.
With a ministry that spanned almost 70 years, He held on to the integrity of the Word with honour, Love, grace and integrity!
The story of many ministers of the Gospel in this generation will remain incomplete without the Hagin influence, no matter how minimal.
I learnt Faith from Bro Hagin.
I learnt the Things of the Spirit from Brother Hagin. I learnt Prayer from Brother Hagin. I learnt to walk in Love from Brother Hagin. I learnt Healing from Brother Hagin. I learnt many and a whole lot of truths about ministry from Brother Hagin. He is arguably my greatest influence.
Honour to whom it is due. Kenneth E. Hagin deserves to be read by any and every minister of the Gospel.

"Your Believing affects your receiving- Kenneth E. Hagin
In Mark 9:23, Jesus said, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” According to this and other verses in the Bible, what you believe determines what you receive from the Lord. In other words, your believing affects your receiving.
Notice I said that your believing affects your receiving.

Your receiving isn’t based on another person’s faith; it’s based on your faith. And just hearing someone else preach the Word won’t give you faith to receive unless you get into the Word for yourself.

Years ago, I preached at a small Full Gospel church in Kansas. The pastor told me that more than half of his congregation had not received the baptism in the Holy Ghost. They were good Christian people, but they hadn’t received this Bible experience. So at the pastor’s request, I spent several evenings teaching on the baptism in the Holy Ghost and how to be filled with the Spirit. Each night, I encouraged the people to bring their own Bible to the services so they could read along with me and not just take my word for what I was teaching. You see, I wanted them to see it in the Word for themselves.

Hello sir

It's totally dishonorable and dishonest ,to Have planned to pioneer a work or a Local Church ,hide it from your present Local church leadership ,

After you have been given leadership and trust and then start creating strife when you eventually decide to do what you planned to do .

Before accepting leadership responsibility ,state clearly your intentions to the leadership .

Tell them you still intend to pioneer a work elsewhere .

Acts 13:2 KJV
[2] As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

The church knew of the Acts 9 Damascus experience and Annanias testimony plus barnabas witness .

Acts 13:3-4 KJV
[3] And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
4] So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

It was done by prayer and fasting and corporate responsibility .

It's proper to be decent and honest .

This is no competition .

So no need applying worldly strategies .

If it's all about Jesus.

This week I Pray for you my friends, That you wal

This week I Pray for you my friends,

That you walk in God's purpose and plan.
Your heart recieves His counsel, your understanding is open to be adjusted to and submerged into His.

Your health recieves His touch, that you are healed and strengthened and your vigor doubles up to fulfill every and any noble task this week.
No disease reaches you or overwhelms you as
You are kept By His power.amen.

That you serve the local church effectively.
No strife has room via you and your mind.
You are effective in carrying out the vision of your local church,
And you are a major reason for unity and not division. Amen.

Your needs are met and bills paid.
Men are raised to help you and assist you.
Amen.

This week you toil by Grace to receive a harvest of souls.
In tens and hundreds, men and women, young and old give heed as you herald His word.
They recieve and follow Christ too.
Amen.

No errors of judgment in your decisions
You receive accuracy now.amen.

It's a supernatural week, with harvest and plenty of miracles.

God have you His word so you can know who you are and what to say

He gives us His word and we say His word .

The bible is a book of identification .

Its writings are highly informative in seeing who we are and what we are too

Acknowledging here is like an accurate scientific discovery .

Paul makes use of the same term in most of his prayers

In the knowledge of Him,it's the same term known originally as epignosis

Philippians 1:9 KJV
[9] And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

Knowledge as discernment ,ability to distinguish .

The Essence of his writings was for us to see these realities via accurate knowledge .

Every good thing which is in us,in Christ

The term " In Christ" has been referred to as Paul's signature of his gospel .

He uses it about 130 times either literally or in associated terms ,like by Whom,in Whom,etc

The believer is found in Christ.

He must see himself in there,in Christ .

2 Corinthians 5:16 KJV
[16] Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh..

We don't identify men by the flesh anymore

Galatians 3:28 KJV
[28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Not by tribe or gender or earthly status .

But in Christ .

He goes further

2 Corinthians 5:16 KJV
.. yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Knowing Christ after flesh is the limitation of the accounts of the four gospels.

He was viewed from a human point of view

From his dressing ,height ,miracles etc ....

Stay focused! As a much younger preacher, I can'

Stay focused!

As a much younger preacher, I can't forget the manner some more elderly preachers viewed us

Whilst it was true, we had exuberance(but what else is expected from a teenager),
it was disheartening seeing how you were easily despised and not even seen with God's grace.

It appeared more like they expected you to fail.

However One person who spoke heavy words to encourage me was Ross Tatro, he said "keep your focus and make sure you are growing, your voice will become distinct sooner or later"

I attended AIM conference at LRA, 1994 .

where he spoke

Also While preaching for my friend bolu Paul, 1996,Bro toks( Tokunbo Adejuwon) capped it all by saying "be steadfast, let nothing move you"

He can never imagine what that meant then.

I have since learnt to never see younger folks differently,yes they will be exuberant(infact Most I see today don't have a quarter of what we did back then lol) but I am here to correct and yet encourage them to be all God planned for them, and they should not be afraid to make mistakes and be corrected and still inspired!

I can't be found doing less to younger folks,

I am a product of strong encouragement and supportive words, I Still am!

So, I say to you young minister

Be focused
Be steadfast
Nothing dies in your hands
Your voice will be heard
Amen
