The gospel is not signs and wonders! The miracles of Jesus in the 4 gospels cannot actually match the ones the children of Israel saw, yet they did not have faith in the gospel. They parted the red sea, they didn’t have a single lack during the 40 years. The same gospel preached unto us was preached unto them! But they did not believe.

Heb 4:2 KJV v2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

It is in that resurrection that we have identification with him. It’s in that resurrection that we have remission of sins. It is that resurrection that we find out who we are in Christ. 1 Cor 15:12-17 KJV v12

Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? v13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: v14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. v15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. v16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: v17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

The Gospel is message of Christs resurrection. If Christ is not preached, you cannot have faith for salvation.

Rom 10:14-15 KJV v14

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? v15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! No one single person preached about hell in the books of Acts. Nobody in the book of Acts preached about Morality. None of those sermons focused on individual sins. How can they believe on him they have not heard? The Jesus that saves is the one that is raised from the dead.
